Zengo were approached by Electronic Arts to investigate the feasibility of a conversion from an American fishing game to a product which could be released in the European market.
The existing code base ran into many hundreds of thousands of lines of code from early versions of DirectX - which we converted to a DirectX 7 product.
We also had to convert the old utilities to newer variants so that the existing art team could use them. The conversion project also entailed converting and re-writing the loading programs and installshield wizards. We also worked closely with the EA mastering department.
